This is a 4-years programme of Mechanical Engineering Technology with specialization in Oil and Gas. The curriculum structure encompasses 8-semester programme aims at equipping the students with the balance of theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Students will undergo the work-based learning (WBL) for one year at the industry during the final year of this programme. The one year WBL period involve 6 months of doing the final year project in industry and 6 months of internship. The one year WBL period will give higher chances for the student to be hired by the company. The uniqueness of this programme is on the five product development courses which follows the model practiced in Germany and The Netherlands. Students will experience the learn-by-doing style of teaching and learning. This program primarily falls under the Mechanical Engineering Technology discipline but has a specific focus on the oil and gas industry. It covers topics such as an introduction to the oil and gas industry, static equipment, rotating equipment, and piping.
